Graphics group a credit to the academy
As part of their GCSE Graphic Products research, Miss Moore's Year 10 Graphics students visited the Showcase Cinemas and ‘Frankie and Benny's' Birmingham, to investigate advertising and the use of promotional material in cinemas and restaurants. Our aims for the trip were to give students the opportunity to experience the role of the consumer; to examine the work of existing designers; and to collate primary research for their projects.
Both Miss Moore and Mr Dawson agree that the students were a credit to the Academy, and they were delighted to see them so inspired with ideas for their projects. As students are required to design their own range of promotional material for their GCSE Graphic Products course, the trip proved an invaluable experience, and we were pleased to see them return to the Academy with big smiles, as well as bags full of research for their projects.
