School Partnerships

edexcel

Through initiatives such as onscreen marking and administration, Edexcel is leading the way in using technology to modernise educational assessment, support teachers and learners. Educational excellence is at the forefront of all our innovations in specification content and technology-driven assessment solutions, and raising student performance is our overarching objective.

We’re also leading the way in delivering the Diploma in England, which is offered in schools and sits alongside or encompasses BTECs and GCE/GCSE learning. We offer innovative developments, which change the way children are taught and assessed.

Artsmark provides a benchmark for arts provision that encourages schools to consider the opportunities they offer in art, dance, drama and music. The application form for Artsmark acts as an auditing tool, through which schools may gain an overall picture of their arts education provision.

Applying for Artsmark has a strong impact on the range of curriculum activities and experiences available for pupils. The application process is able to trigger changes in provision through a combination of a sound evidence base, heightened awareness and capacity for change.

The Healthy Schools Programme (NHSP) is a joint initiative between DCSF and Department of Health (DH) - which promotes a whole school / whole child approach to health. The Programme has existed since 1999. It is recognised as a key delivery mechanism in the Children’s Plan (DCSF 2007) and in Healthy Weight, healthy Lives (DH 2008) – 21st Century White Paper reference.

The contract calls for support for enterprise education from 5-19 and challenged us to produce a plan that was more flexible, responsive to local need and sustainable beyond the end of the project.
