When we were approached to see if our charitable foundation, The Grace Charitable Trust, would consider sponsoring an Academy in the Midlands we were interested to find out more. After discussions with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, interest became enthusiasm.
We were both born and educated in West Bromwich, and although we have lived away from the area for a number of years, the opportunity to put back into the community which had served us well in our formative years appealed to us. What better way than through education.
As the vision unfolded, we were greatly encouraged by the Department for Education and Skills, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Mrs Caroline Badyal the Head of Dartmouth High School and many local people. We are tremendously excited at the prospects and we hope the vision conveyed in this brochure will excite you too.
