CARE Days 2026
We are incredibly proud of the way our students continue to demonstrate our CARE values, and CARE Days 2026 promises to be a fitting celebration of their hard work, character, and achievements.
We look forward to creating lasting memories together at the end of another successful year.

CARE Days 2026
As we move into the summer term, we do so with a real sense of excitement and anticipation for the opportunities ahead.
This year, we are delighted to introduce a refreshed end-of-year experience, CARE Days, which have been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the achievements of our students who truly embody our CARE values of Community, Ambition, Respect and Excellence.
This new offer has been shaped by the voices of our community. We would like to thank our students, staff and parents/carers for your valuable feedback throughout the year, which has helped us to reimagine how we recognise and reward success across the Academy.
We are very mindful of the financial pressures facing families. With this in mind, we have worked closely with our travel provider to secure the very best value – there has been no price increase since last year.
How are students eligible to take part?
Students who achieved their Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Q-Point Award by May half-term are eligible to take part in CARE Days to celebrate their positive contribution to Academy life. Students who do not meet this threshold will attend the Academy as normal until we break up for the summer holidays at 3:15pm on Thursday 23rd July.
How do I share my child's choices?
If your child is eligible to participate in CARE Days 2026, they will receive an invitation week commencing 22nd June.
Parents/carers, please complete the reverse of the invitation indicating your child's choices and sign to confirm you are happy with these. This must be returned to Student Services by Friday 26th June.
In signing and returning this, you acknowledge that payments must be made by Friday 3rd July and accept that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
How do I pay for trips?
Once your child's invitation has been received by Student Services, they will process the form and add any payable activities to your child's ParentPay account for payment.
Please allow processing time for trips to be added to ParentPay.
The deadline for payments is Friday 3rd July. Please ensure payment is received by this date as we cannot accept late payments.
What should students wear? What should they bring? What time should they arrive?
Dates and times for each trip are shown on the invitation and will also be shown on ParentPay.
Students on trips may wear their own sensible and appropriate clothing, and should take water to stay hydrated, pack sunscreen and a cap (or a coat if we’re unlucky with weather), and keep any spending money safe.
Students attending the free Academy Activities sessions should attend at their normal times in Q3 Academy Great Barr Sports Kit.
If students take a mobile phone on a trip, it is their responsibility alongside their other personal belongings to keep safe and to use it respectfully.
What are the terms and conditions for trips?
These can be found on our Trips page.
