CARE Days 2026
We are incredibly proud of the way our students continue to demonstrate our CARE values, and CARE Days 2026 promises to be a fitting celebration of their hard work, character, and achievements.
We look forward to creating lasting memories together at the end of another successful year.
To ensure we can respond efficiently to queries, we kindly ask that any questions regarding CARE Days 2026 trips are directed to our dedicated trips helpdesk.

How were students eligible to take part in trips?
Students who achieved their Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Q-Point Award by May half-term were eligible to take part in CARE Days trips to celebrate their positive contribution to Academy life. Students who did not meet this threshold will still benefit from some exciting on-site activities on the CARE Days.
What times are students on trips or in the Academy?
| Activity | Departure Time | Estimated Return Time |
|---|---|---|
| Alton Towers | 8:30am | 6pm |
| Blackpool Pleasure Beach | 8am | 8:30pm |
| West Midlands Safari Park | 9am | 2:30pm |
| Students not on trips (on-site) | 9:30am | 2pm on Wednesday & 1pm on Thursday |
What should students wear? What should they bring?
Students on trips may wear their own sensible and appropriate clothing, and should take water to stay hydrated, pack sunscreen and a cap (or a coat if we’re unlucky with weather), and keep any spending money safe.
Students attending the free on-site sessions should attend the Academy in Q3 Academy Great Barr Sports Kit.
It is essential that students on trips arrive promptly and register on coaches at the front of the Academy, they will not be permitted on-site before the trip, so we encourage them to go to the toilet before leaving the house.
If a student arrives late they will have missed their coach departure and no refund will be payable, so they must be ready on time and we ask that parents/carers do not park in any section of the drop-off zone as coaches will be using these bays.
If students take a mobile phone on a trip, it is their responsibility alongside their other personal belongings to keep safe and to use it respectfully.
What are the terms and conditions for trips?
