World Cup 2026 Arrangements

As many of our students, families, and staff will be supporting England in the World Cup in the early hours of Monday morning, we would like to wish the national team the very best of luck and hope everyone enjoys what promises to be a memorable occasion.

In recognition of the exceptionally early kick off and to support the wellbeing of our community, we will operate a delayed start on Monday morning. Tutor Time will begin at 10:50am, and students should arrive at 10:45am to be ready for a prompt start to Tutor Time. We believe this later start will help students arrive rested, ready to learn, and able to take part fully in lessons, rather than struggling through the day tired.

For families of younger students unable to make alternative childcare arrangements, limited supervision will be available in Quisine from 8:45am. We ask that students attending during this time bring a reading book or other suitable revision material. You must notify us if your child requires this supervision by completing this form by midday on Sunday 5th July, so we’re able to staff the provision suitably.

Students in Year 12 should attend their Work Experience placements at the start time agreed with the employer.

In addition, with warmer weather returning, students are permitted to wear either their uniform or their Q3 Academy Great Barr Sports Kit for the remainder of the summer term.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming students on Monday morning at 10:45am and, like many of you, we will be cheering on the Three Lions this weekend. Come on England! ⚽
